Nina Basu handles estate litigation matters as of counsel to Simpson Law, PA. Prior to forming her own firm in 2012, Nina practiced as an associate at McGuireWoods. She serves as the Chair of the Long Reach Village Board, on the Board of Directors of Howard County Tourism, on the Maryland State Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and served on the Howard County Executive’s Transition Team.

Jordana Guzman, of the Penater Law Firm, LLC, often serves as co-counsel with Simpson Law, PA, on estates and trusts matters, particularly for estate and trust administration. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, where she was honored with membership in Phi Beta Kappa. Alex went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law in 2007. She practiced law in New York City before relocating “home” to Maryland in 2019.

Kira began her career in editing at the National Foreign Language Center as an editor of foreign language learning materials. After segueing into project management for a while, Kira decided to become a freelancer offering editing/proofreading and digital marketing services. After more than a decade of freelancing, Kira went back to school and obtained a Masters in Language & Literature. She now uses her education and extensive experience to edit/proofread for clients as a freelancer and to write her own novels.
